Tooth Extraction
Tooth extraction is when a tooth is removed from the mouth. The most common reasons for tooth extractions are heavily damaged teeth (broken down, decayed), a gum diseased affected tooth beyond treatment, a tooth with a root fracture, failed and non-retreatable root canal and before orthodontic treatment etc.
Dentistry Illawarra can organise how these tooth extractions will be undertaken either under local anaesthesia (see Sedation/Inhalation section) or refer for General Anaesthesia.
